SECOND SERVICE SCHEME

Try a tennis racket properly before you commit

Buying a tennis racket shouldn’t be a gamble.

Not long ago, local tennis shops offered demo rackets so players could try before buying. Those opportunities are now rare — yet new rackets regularly cost
£180–£250.

The Second Serve Scheme brings that confidence back.

What is the Second Serve Scheme?

The Second Serve Scheme is our

7-day trial buyback programme.

You buy a carefully selected second-hand tennis racket, play with it in real conditions, and decide if it’s right for you.

If it isn’t, we’ll buy it back for a small fixed difference.

It’s the modern way to demo a racket — without the risk.

Buyback terms

Adult rackets: buyback at £20 less than the original purchase price

Junior rackets: buyback at £12 less than the original purchase price

The racket must be returned in the same condition it was sold.

This difference covers regripping, cleaning, handling and relisting.

Why we offer this

Racket specs only tell part of the story.

How a racket feels on court matters more than any marketing or review.

The Second Serve Scheme removes the pressure of getting it right first time and helps players make confident, informed decisions.

Some players even use the scheme to trial a model before buying new elsewhere — and that’s absolutely fine. Our goal is to help you find the right racket.

Who it’s for

Club players unsure about specs

Parents buying rackets for juniors

Players returning to tennis after a break

Anyone nervous about spending big money on the wrong racket

Condition requirements

To qualify for the buyback:

No new chips, cracks or structural damage

No significant court scrapes

Normal light ball marks are acceptable

If a racket is returned with damage beyond normal play wear, the buyback may be reduced or declined.

Important notes

The Second Serve Scheme is available on selected rackets only

Eligible rackets will be clearly marked on the website

Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility

One racket per customer at a time unless agreed otherwise
